Lib Peck on democracy…

In a recent letter criticising the Labour NEC for ‘interfering’ in Haringey by telling them to stop tearing down people’s homes on behalf of private developers, Lib Peck wrote

“It is an affront to democracy for a central committee to interfere with the democratic decisions of elected Labour councillors.”

This coming from the council that refuses to ballot local residents on estate regeneration!  Who’d have thought it?
